Fr. John Behr offers his own reflections and invites participants into a conversation about questions of Christology and Christian anthropology through the lens of Christ’s question posed to his disciples: “Who do you say that I am?”

Fr. John Behr is the Regius Professor of Humanity at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. He previously taught at St. Vladimir’s Seminary, Yonkers, NY, where he served as Dean from 2007-17; he is also the Metropolitan Kallistos Chair of Orthodox Theology at the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam and the Amsterdam Center for Orthodox Theology. Fr. Behr writes and teaches widely on patristics, theology, asceticism, and Christian anthropology. His publications include The Mystery of Christ: Life in Death (2003); Becoming Human: Theological Anthropology in Word and Image (2013); St Irenaeus of Lyons: Identifying Christianity (2013); and most recently, John the Theologian and His Paschal Gospel: A Prologue to Theology (2019). Fr. Behr received his M. Phil and D. Phil from Oxford under Metroplitan Kallistos Ware.
