PHILOSOPHY AND THEOLOGY

This group will discuss bioethical issues from a Catholic perspective, particularly cases raised by recent developments in biotechnology and medical practice. Foundational philosophical topics such as Aquinas' schema for analyzing moral actions and the nature of the human being as a soul-body compound will also be treated. Brief readings for discussion will be distributed at each meeting; no reading preparation required.
Participants are also invited to stay for the 5:00PM Mass at St. Paul’s, followed by an optional dinner out in Harvard Square.
