Group led by Harvard Undergraduates John Kipp and Marshall Zhu
This weekly reading group will explore Catholic Social Thought, focusing on key papal encyclicals, beginning with Leo XIII’s Rerum Novarum (1891) and continuing with several encyclicals from the twentieth century and beyond. We examine how their vision and approach to social and economic issues can guide our responses to contemporary challenges.
Walk-ins are welcome, but register below to receive readings in advance. Key passages to be discussed will be read at each group meeting. Light refreshments provided.
OPEN TO BOSTON AREA UNDERGRADS - REGISTRATION REQUIRED
