The Vulgate Bible: The Birth of the Messiah in Matthew’s Gospel and the Old Testament. In these bimonthly classes, work through some inspiring texts while improving proficiency in reading Latin and experiencing the stylistic and expressive techniques of the Vulgate. Texts, notes, and learning materials will be distributed prior to each session, or are available for free online. Participants should have completed, and have some recollection of, one year or more of Latin; however, you will also build up your language ability during the course using the notes and study aids provided.
